Kingsmen Software Unveils 16,000-Square-Foot Space in Historic Gama Goat Building
Charlotte, NC – Kingsmen Software has opened its new 16,000-square-foot headquarters at 1701 N. Graham Street, Suite 310 at Camp North End.
Founded in 2013 and led by managing partners Greg Hart, Bill Clerici, and Kevin Carney, Kingsmen creates high-quality custom software products for a wide range of customers spanning the financial services and fintech sectors to healthcare companies, many of which are national household names.
Kingsmen’s build-to-suit space is located in the northern section of the 140,000-square-foot Gama Goat Building. Working with REDLINE Design Group, Kingsmen created its new headquarters within 14,500 square feet of space on the ground level and the creation of a 1,500-square-foot interior mezzanine. All [total number] Kingsmen employees will be housed at this location.
Defined by high ceilings, clearstory windows, steel beams, wooden trusses and exposed bricks, Kingsmen’s office layout incorporates team-based workstations and designated areas for flexibility and collaboration. The new headquarters also features a podcast recording studio, a 12-foot video wall, “stairatorium” to the mezzanine and a speakeasy pub. Employees are also able to take advantage of outdoor seating and work areas.
In addition to day-to-day operations, Kingsmen will use the space to host events, conferences and industry meet-ups.
The Gama Goat Building opened in the summer of 2020, following a major redevelopment led by ATCO and Shorenstein, along with design architect S9 Architecture, local production architect BB+M Architecture and civil engineer/landscape architect LandDesign. In the late 1960s, the industrial structure was used by the U.S. Army to assemble Gama Goat military vehicles.
Today the property features passageways that cut through the building to connect with cross-streets in the neighborhood, creating new east-west connectivity within the site and the broader North End corridor. The Gama Goat Building is located in Camp North End’s Keswick District, which is also home to: Google Fiber; Centene Corp.; CloudGenera; Rent EBoards Charlotte; YVY Fitness; Windy O’Connor Art + Home; food stalls Bleu Barn North End, La Caseta, Plant Joy, and SARU; and FITTEDS hat shop.
